"Why are so many religious people blindly obedient"?

"why are so many religious people blindly obedient"! Please, read the Details section.

IN OUR FAST-PACED, media-driven culture, public opinion can become skewed if popular film, television, and periodicals promote an outdated stereotype of religious life.As young men excited about being in religious life, we find these portraits, along with many others, not only inaccurate but also potentially damaging to the future of religious life. Many young people do not consider such a life because of mistaken notions they pick up from various sources, including Catholics. We would like to debunk some common myths of religious life and illustrate the beauty, contentment, and psychological health one could potentially find in this unique lifestyle.i am forced or i might say im motivated to write about this subject that i never thought i would dealT with..The circumstances that im going through forces me to write, because this is going to be a strong lesson in my life or i should say my religious life.i'm just only a starter of real life,so things turned very strange to me.brought up and being in a family with a very balanced christian faith i couldn't accept the spiritual blindness infront of me. and the most painful thing i saw was that these were thrown up to the blooming buds in the society.instead of making them the glowing son of tommorrow, they r driven to the complete darkness.the things i say here may not be new thing for you but is a strong reminder to look around and see those we might be passing by on the side of the road...

Religious orders recognize that human beings are born with many gifts from God. One of the goals in religious life is to determine how an individual's gifts can be used to serve God and the people. Attempting to fit people into positions for which they aren't prepared or for which they have no talent is not a way to glorify God.eVery men haVe to do seVrice from the round they are.. Within the ranks of religious life are doctors, lawyers, economists, writers, administrators, architects, engineers, scientists, artists, and actors. Religious life is a way to live, not a line of work.
Realistically, whatever vocation a person pursues is going to bring some suffering; this is the reality of being human. The important question to reflect upon is, does the suffering or sacrificing I do serve a greater purpose and make me happy? A life vocation, whether married life, single life, or religious life, should be chosen because one feels called to live a certain way. To expect a life without suffering is unrealistic, but one can expect a life with a foundation in love and happiness. Just as parents sacrifice many things for their children, men and women in religious life sacrifice for the people of God. Sometimes this sacrificing can involve suffering, but it is done in love for others and not for its own sake. Men and women in religious life, like most healthy people, do not hope to suffer, but if their lives are lived authentically in love, suffering is going to be present at times. Thankfully God is often most present to us when we suffer.

We're human, and that means there's a spectrum of religious temperaments in religious communities, from those who experience Christ in a mystical, immediate way to those who discover him through service, from those who prefer the rosary and eucharistic adoration to those who prefer more experimental forms of prayer. The unifying factor is what's important: all are disciples of Jesus, uniquely called to share the spirituality of their communities with each other, the larger church, and the world.we must understand that to which ever community u belong whether catholic or protestant you serve the same god..or as i told earlier u have to serve the strived ones.otherwise there is no meaning in reading the bible, chanting the prayers and taking up the fasting.in this context i would like to quote the famous line which i commonly uses "nearer to church farther from god". men of different community are the part of god's people; they mirror the rest of the church they serve: there are introverts and extroverts, tall and short, old and young, straight and gay, obese and skinny, crass and pious, humorous and serious, and everything in between. They attempt to live the same primary vocation as all other
Christians do: proclaiming and living the gospel.People are just that, people. All have differing backgrounds, views, indoctrinations, education, parental influences and social views. Knowledge is power. We must question the old guard. Do not accept everything you are told. Review your beliefs. Look at research, discuss, argue, reject through intelligent discussion. ...
